Alan Waiczis
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
The decision to enter therapy is a courageous one. It means that you are ready to embark on a journey of self-reflection and change. As a therapist, I find that relationship issues between couples aren’t only the result of communication or conflict problems. In fact, individual struggles such as anxiety, grief, addiction, or depression often play a hidden role in a couple’s decision to seek professional counseling. I am here to tell you there is hope. You can change the dynamics that are no longer serving you and your relationship.
My practice incorporates several therapeutic models to help you to take ownership of your journey. Depending on your needs, we may explore: person-centered talk therapy, emotionally-focused mindfulness, CBT and DBT, and exposure and response prevention. While I’m not shy when it comes to telling hard truths, I am deeply committed to supporting you and your loved ones and helping you achieve the well-being and fulfillment you deserve. You can’t shock me, and I don’t have a horse in your race - your success and happiness are my only goal.
I am passionate about helping romantic partners gain new insight and forge better connection. Whether you’re in a traditional or a non-tradition relationship, I can help you navigate towards a stronger, healthier relationship and a more balanced personal perspective. I counsel couples with or without the formality of marriage, whether they are binary, non-binary, LGBTQ, transgender and transitioning, or polyamorous – all love is welcome.
